About the Role:
Chardan is seeking a Research Analyst to join its Technology equity research offering. The primary focus of this role will be the publication of equity research in areas of Artificial Intelligence, alternative payments (Bitcoin, Crypto, other digital assets), and other areas with promising characteristics. The role will require building and maintaining financial (income statement, CF statement, balance sheet) and valuation models; conducting company-specific and industry-wide research in areas of interest for Chardan; generating actionable and at times counter-consensus research ideas for investors; and acting as a Chardan representative at conferences, firm networking, and corporate access events. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, self-disciplined, and a natural high achiever.

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of sell-side equity research experience, preferably in the Technology sector
  • MBA and/or CFA preferred but not required
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication and organization skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent financial modeling, valuation, accounting, and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to generate differentiated insights and communicate them clearly
  • Completed and current regulatory licenses (e.g. Series 7, SIE, 63, 86, 87)
