Joe Reda is Managing Director of Chardan Emerging Growth. He leads the Chardan’s corporate finance efforts within the micro-cap space.
Mr. Reda began his investment career in 1994, as a High Net-Worth Broker in the Private Client Group at Oppenheimer. In 1996, he joined Legg Mason as an SVP in its Private Client Group. He returned to CIBC Oppenheimer in 1998, serving as an SVP in the Middle Markets Group covering hedge funds until leaving to join C.E. Unterberg, Towbin in 2002. As Head of Unterberg’s Institutional Sales and Special Equities Group, Mr. Reda led a team that was responsible for over 100 PIPE transactions, and assisted with both post-deal activity and corporate client services. In 2008, he and several members of his team joined Chardan to expand the firm’s practice in the PIPEs space.
An accomplished athlete, Mr. Reda played WR for the 1993 Ivy League Championship football team at the University of Pennsylvania, while earning a BS in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of Business.
